5th Grade: handmade cards for City Meals on Wheels

City Meals on Wheels provides a continuous lifeline of nourishing meals and vital companionship to our homebound elderly neighbors. Fifth grade students will make handmade cards for their homebound elderly neighbors, which will be delivered with either meals or food packages. Students will also create posters to put up around the school and visit other classrooms to spread awareness about City Meals on Wheels, including to share information about families getting involved in meal delivery. The Fifth grade teaching team, students and families will also organize a bake sale at the 67th Street Saturday market, with proceeds going directly to City Meals on Wheels.
